FinanceEco

ABP · Mohamad Zulfaiz Rofi

The Finance department’s own desktop app. Accounts Receivable first.

The real app: the Finance Dashboard, the Fiuu Rename Helper, an Outlet Code Lookup run, the EOD Date Lookup with its cash figures blurred, and File Check across three months.

Why it exists

The job it takes off someone

Finance reconciliation runs on spreadsheets rebuilt by hand every month. FinanceEco does the same work as a repeatable run against the department’s own exports, on the department’s own laptop — which outlet a payment belongs to, which day a cash deposit was for, whether this month’s files are all there — with the answer on screen instead of in a file somebody has to version.

What the current build covers

Accounts Receivable only. The app is named for the department rather than the ledger so Accounts Payable and General Ledger can join later without a rename — but both are unscoped, and choosing either on the opening screen shows a coming-soon card. In use in AR since 28 September 2026.

Impact

Before and after

What the two lookups and the Fiuu helper changed for Accounts Receivable — measured on real months.

Which outlet is this payment?Work it out from a million-row export, or run the whole AR flow to get one column.Outlet Code Lookup adds the outlet code, ownership, location and internal ID to every row. April 2026: 3,761,151 rows back, one for one — only 1 without an outlet code.
Sold in one month, settled in the nextEach row read against whatever month’s files were open. Each row is looked up with the Sales Report and outlet list of the month it was sold in; a month not in yet says Waiting instead of guessing.
Which day was this cash deposit for?The CASH workbook’s XLOOKUP on outlet and amount broke quietly on split, late or petty-cash deposits — each #N/A cost a filter and a calculator.EOD Date Lookup works every deposit out from its parts — exact, split, nearest free day — and only what is genuinely unclear goes to To Do By Hand.
Cash banked over 7 days late28 of 40 such matches went through unflagged. All 40 flagged Check, for a person to look at. (September against August.)
Naming Fiuu settlementsThe totals typed into each file name by hand, one settlement at a time — and the names drifted.Paste the portal’s SUMMARY box: the file is named, checked against a second download, and filed into its month. A 132,617-row settlement is read in 3.7 seconds.

Who it is for

Three people open this

If none of these is you, it is probably not the tool you want — say so on the form and ABP will point you at the right one.

Finance — Accounts Receivable

The people this build is for. Rename and file the month’s downloads, look up outlet codes and EOD dates for a whole export, and check the month’s files before a run.

ABP — Automation Business Partner

Runs the reconciliation and the Finance Dashboard, and owns permissions and automation.

Finance — AP and General Ledger

Planned, not scoped. They appear on the opening screen today only as coming-soon cards.

Documentation

How to use FinanceEco

A walk through the app in the order you meet it, with the drawings from FinanceEco’s own Help screen — drawn rather than screenshotted, because most screens are full of real ledger figures. The recording at the top shows the ones that are not, with the one table of cash figures blurred.

1

Which Ledger, Then Sign In With Lark

Pick Accounts Receivable — the only real ledger today — then scan the Lark QR code with your phone. The first time, a Before You Start screen asks you to agree to the app’s rules, and a short tour follows.

Three steps drawn left to right: choose Accounts Receivable, sign in with Lark, and your Lark department sets your role — ABP or Finance Team.
From FinanceEco’s own guide. Your role comes from Lark — nothing to pick.
  • Your role — Comes from your Lark department, not from a picker. ABP sees everything; Finance sees the tools.
  • How long — A sign-in lasts a week, then asks again.
2

Fiuu Rename Helper

Paste the SUMMARY box from the Fiuu portal, download the settlement file, and the helper names it from the totals and moves it from Downloads into the right month folder.

Three cards: which month folder a Fiuu file goes in, what happens to rows from other months, and how a settlement downloaded twice is caught.
From FinanceEco’s own guide — what the helper checks before it files anything.
3

Outlet Code Lookup — Which Outlet Is This?

Adds the outlet code, ownership, location and the rest to every row of a raw export, without opening the Excel file and without a full run. Each row is looked up with the files for the month it was sold in; rows whose month is not in yet say Waiting.

A pipeline's steps in a row, walked backwards from the Outlet Code step, keeping only the steps the code depends on, then the Netsuite Location join.
From FinanceEco’s own guide — why a lookup is quick once the month is read.
  • One for one — The same rows back, with columns added at the end and nothing rewritten.
  • Top-ups and gift cards — They have no physical outlet, so they get a ZB or GC prefix and a blank location. That is correct.
4

EOD Date Lookup

Finds the EOD date each cash deposit was for, from the month’s CASH workbook. The ones it cannot settle go to a To Do By Hand tab, with the outlet’s nearby days to pick from; your picks go back into the workbook through Excel.

One deposit tested left to right: picked by hand, reverse, same amount, split, nearest free day — and what falls through goes to To Do By Hand.
From FinanceEco’s own guide — the first rule that fits wins.
5

File Check

Before a run, checks the month’s folders: is every export there, in the folder it belongs in, with the tab and columns the engine needs. Create Folders makes the month’s folders for you.

Four steps: set the Target Month and its folders appear, drop the exports in, press Check Files, and each source says OK, Check or No files — fix a Check and check again.
From FinanceEco’s own guide. Read-only: your Excel files are never changed, moved or deleted.
6

Where The Rules Live

ETL Pipelines and Dashboard Formulas show every rule behind the numbers, read-only. They began as Dr. Linh Vu’s QlikView script, and changing one moves the month’s figures — so it is agreed with Finance first and changed by ABP, not edited in passing.

The ETL engine in seven steps: Bronze, clean and type, stack the tabs, tag every row, report rules, keep included rows, Gold columns only — with notes that Molpay borrows from Sales Report and Outlet Code Lookup stops after step 4.
From FinanceEco’s own guide — every figure on the dashboard passes through these steps.

Limits worth knowing

What FinanceEco is not

Written down because it is cheaper to read this now than to find it out in front of someone.

  • It is not a replacement for the accounting system. It reads and reports; the system of record does not change.
  • It is not shared. Each laptop keeps its own data, and none of the Finance figures leave it.
  • It is not a place to change the rules. ETL Pipelines and Dashboard Formulas are read-only — they are derived business logic, not settings.
  • It is not Accounts Payable or General Ledger yet.

Windows 10 or newer, 64-bit. A Lark account at ZUS. Excel, for writing picks into the CASH workbook.

Data safety

What it does with data

Written so you could check each line rather than take it on trust. If one of them turns out to be wrong, that is a bug in the tool, not a wording problem here.

  • Processes the Finance exports entirely on the laptop. None of the figures are uploaded anywhere.
  • Signs you in with Lark through ZUS’s own n8n; the laptop holds no Lark secret, only an encrypted 7-day pass.
  • Records that you agreed to the app’s rules, and that you used it, in Lark — the first sign-in stays locked until the agreement is recorded.
  • Moves the month’s downloads out of your Downloads folder into the month folder, and writes Lookup CSVs beside them.
  • Writes your picks into the CASH workbook through Excel, only when you press the button.

Before you ask

Questions people actually send

Can I get it?

Yes — ask here. It is built for Accounts Receivable, so if you work elsewhere in Finance, say what you would use it for and ABP will tell you whether it fits.

Does my data leave the laptop?

The Finance figures do not. The app reaches Lark to sign you in, to record that you agreed to its rules, and to record that it was used.
