Which Side Of The Table?
The same app goes on both laptops and asks at launch. The interviewer’s laptop runs the speech engine and keeps the transcript; the candidate’s only shows the questions.

Captions for an in-person interview with a deaf or hard-of-hearing candidate — checked before they are shown.
Why it exists
Lark Meetings’ live subtitles did not fit an in-person interview, for two reasons. They do not do Malay, or the mixed register a real ZUS interview runs in. And live captions rewrite themselves as the model hears more, which is hard to read when the text is your only channel. Interview Assist is turn-based instead: the interviewer speaks, reads the transcription, corrects it, and only then sends it to the candidate’s screen.
What the current build covers
Who it is for
If none of these is you, it is probably not the tool you want — say so on the form and ABP will point you at the right one.
Interviewers and hiring managers
Speak the question, check the words, send it. Switch between English and Malay per question.
The candidate
Reads each question in large type, in English with Malay underneath, and types the answer back.
People & Talent
A filed transcript of each interview in a Lark Base, kept 180 days and then deleted.
Documentation
One interview, in the order it happens, with the drawings from the app’s own guide. The recording at the top shows the first three steps.
The same app goes on both laptops and asks at launch. The interviewer’s laptop runs the speech engine and keeps the transcript; the candidate’s only shows the questions.

Candidate name, role applied for, your name. If the candidate is on a second laptop, it finds yours on the Wi-Fi and asks to join — you accept only when the number on both screens matches.

Hold Shift while you speak. The question appears as text for you to correct, and Translate gives the Malay line for you to check. Nothing reaches the candidate until you press Send.

Ends the session and files the transcript to Lark. It is deleted 180 days after the interview.

Limits worth knowing
Written down because it is cheaper to read this now than to find it out in front of someone.

No other contributors are recorded for this one. If you worked on it and are not here, tell ABP — it is an omission, not a judgement.
The details
Requires — Windows
Windows 10 or newer, 64-bit. A microphone; a second screen for the candidate, or a second laptop.
Requires — macOS
Apple Silicon Mac.
Data safety
Written so you could check each line rather than take it on trust. If one of them turns out to be wrong, that is a bug in the tool, not a wording problem here.
Before you ask
No. The speech engine and the translator are inside the installer. Only filing the transcript to Lark needs a connection.
The words are, as text, for 180 days. The audio never is. Tell the candidate both before you start.
Support
Message ABP in Lark. That is the fastest route and it reaches whoever is closest to the problem.
